La Puntulina is carved into the cliffs on the southern tip of Rovinj's old town peninsula. Tables are set on a multi-level stone terrace just metres above the sea, with views across the water to the islands. At sunset this is arguably the most beautiful restaurant setting in all of Istria.
The kitchen delivers refined Mediterranean seafood — raw preparations, pasta with shellfish, whole grilled fish — alongside Istrian staples elevated with modern technique. The wine cellar is one of the best in town, with a strong focus on Croatian and Italian producers. Run by the Pellizzer family, who also own Giannino. Reservations essential.
