Description
Balsamake
A long stretch of white limestone slabs on the western edge of the Punta Corrente forest park, with pine shade and views of Rovinj's old town across the bay.
Balsamake stretches along the western edge of the Punta Corrente forest park, a long run of flat white limestone slabs where the rocky shore meets clear, deep water. The Aleppo pines of the protected park come right down to the rocks, providing natural shade, and the views back across the bay take in Rovinj's old town and the bell tower of St. Euphemia.
This is an unmanaged, natural bathing area — there are no rented loungers, umbrellas, or designated entries. Bathers find their own spot among the limestone terraces and step or jump straight into deep water. The bottom drops off quickly, making it well suited for swimmers and snorkellers; less so for small children.
Lovor Lounge & Beach, a short walk along the coastal path, is the nearest place to break for a drink, salads, pasta, local seafood, or a cocktail in the shade.
