Hotels in Rovinj

Find your perfect accommodation in Rovinj

From boutique hotels in the old town to modern seafront resorts, Rovinj has accommodation for every style and budget. Most properties are within walking distance of the center — and the ones that aren't usually make up for it with stunning sea views.

Rovinj's hotels cluster into three distinct areas. In the old town you'll find small boutique properties inside restored fishermen's houses — think stone walls, narrow stairways, rooftop terraces with harbour views. The Monte Mulini / Zlatni rt zone, a short walk south of the centre, is home to the five-star waterfront names: Grand Park, Hotel Lone, Hotel Monte Mulini, Monte Mulini, Eden. And along the southern coast road toward Punta Corrente, a string of mid-range three and four-star hotels offer pools, breakfast and easy beach access without the old-town prices.

Ratings here tend to run higher than you'd expect for Croatia: the five-star cluster genuinely competes with luxury properties in Dubrovnik and the Côte d'Azur, and the four-stars are properly four-star, not inflated. Breakfast is included at almost every property above 3 stars. Parking is the one catch — old-town hotels rarely have dedicated parking, so plan to use a public garage (Valdibora, Porton Biondi) and walk 5–10 minutes.

Peak season is mid-July through August; book 3–6 months ahead for the five-stars. Shoulder months (May, June, September, October) offer the same warm sea, lighter crowds and rates 25–40% below peak. For context on the neighbourhood, see our old-town walking guide, parking advice, and where we eat.

Hotels in Rovinj — frequently asked questions

Depends on your trip. Old-town stays put you two minutes from restaurants, the harbour and St. Euphemia church, but expect narrow stairs, limited parking and some noise in peak season. The Monte Mulini / Zlatni rt area, a 10–15 minute walk south, has the five-star waterfront properties with pools, spas and direct beach access. Both areas are fully walkable to each other — nothing in central Rovinj is more than 20 minutes on foot.
Five-star properties south of the centre (Grand Park, Lone, Monte Mulini, Eden) have on-site parking, usually for a daily fee. Most old-town boutique hotels don't — you park at Valdibora public garage or Porton Biondi and walk 5–10 minutes. Book early in season; the old-town parking fills up.
At every 4 and 5-star hotel, yes — typically a substantial buffet. At 3-stars and below, it varies; check the listing. Rovinj's hotel breakfasts are generally excellent, with local Istrian produce, pršut, olive oil, fresh bread and pastries.
Yes, most are. Grand Park Hotel Rovinj, Hotel Eden and Island Hotel Istra all have family rooms, kids' pools and dedicated kids programmes in summer. Boutique old-town hotels are better for couples — smaller rooms, no kids' facilities, stairs.
For July or August: 3–6 months ahead for anything under 4 stars, 4–6 months for the five-star cluster which sells out first. For May, June, September and October, 4–6 weeks is usually fine. Off-season rates run 25–40% below peak.
