From boutique hotels in the old town to modern seafront resorts, Rovinj has accommodation for every style and budget. Most properties are within walking distance of the center — and the ones that aren't usually make up for it with stunning sea views.
Rovinj's hotels cluster into three distinct areas. In the old town you'll find small boutique properties inside restored fishermen's houses — think stone walls, narrow stairways, rooftop terraces with harbour views. The Monte Mulini / Zlatni rt zone, a short walk south of the centre, is home to the five-star waterfront names: Grand Park, Hotel Lone, Hotel Monte Mulini, Monte Mulini, Eden. And along the southern coast road toward Punta Corrente, a string of mid-range three and four-star hotels offer pools, breakfast and easy beach access without the old-town prices.
Ratings here tend to run higher than you'd expect for Croatia: the five-star cluster genuinely competes with luxury properties in Dubrovnik and the Côte d'Azur, and the four-stars are properly four-star, not inflated. Breakfast is included at almost every property above 3 stars. Parking is the one catch — old-town hotels rarely have dedicated parking, so plan to use a public garage (Valdibora, Porton Biondi) and walk 5–10 minutes.
Peak season is mid-July through August; book 3–6 months ahead for the five-stars. Shoulder months (May, June, September, October) offer the same warm sea, lighter crowds and rates 25–40% below peak. For context on the neighbourhood, see our old-town walking guide, parking advice, and where we eat.
