Hotel Lone holds the distinction of being Croatia's first Design Hotel, and the building itself makes the case. Designed by the acclaimed Croatian studio 3LHD, its sweeping Y-shaped form sits at the entrance to the Zlatni Rt (Golden Cape) forest park, just 50 metres from the sea and a short walk from Mulini Beach. The 248 rooms and suites are spread across six floors, with interiors conceived by leading Croatian contemporary artists — the hotel functions less like a conventional luxury property and more like a curated gallery you happen to sleep in.
Dining options include Tekka by Lone, a Michelin-recommended Japanese restaurant, alongside several other venues from poolside casual to the more refined L Restaurant and Wine Boutique. The wellness area features an indoor pool, saunas, water beds, and a full treatment menu under the Albaro Wellness & Spa concept. Outside, the outdoor pool terrace overlooks the forest canopy, and guests can walk or cycle directly into the park's 52 hectares of Mediterranean woodland.
The hotel is equally suited for business travellers, with a conference centre seating up to 650. Valet parking, a garage with EV charging, and a private transfer service round out the logistics. The town centre is 1.5 km away — a pleasant 20-minute walk along the coast.
