Selected from Archaeological Localities of the Rovinj Region does exactly what its name promises: it gathers ten objects, each pulled from a different major archaeological site around Rovinj, so you get a quick tour of the area's ancient past in one room. It's a small, focused exhibition rather than a sprawling one, which is part of the appeal.

You'll find it at the Rovinj Heritage Museum (Muzej grada Rovinja), right on the main square by the harbour, so it slots easily into a walk through the old town. Pair it with the museum's wider collection and you have an hour or so well spent.

The show is open from 27 March to 31 December 2026, which makes it a reliable indoor stop whatever the weather. It's my go-to suggestion for a rainy afternoon or a day when the sun is too fierce for the beach.
