Grisia has run every year since 1967, which makes it one of Croatia's oldest open-air art events. On a single day, the cobbled street that climbs to the Church of St. Euphemia fills with the work of hundreds of artists, from established professionals to amateurs and local children, hung along the walls, steps and doorways.

In 2026 it happens on Sunday 23 August, running through the day and into the evening. Walking through is free, and you can take as long as you like over the climb.

My advice: go early in the morning or later toward evening. Around midday the street gets tight with people, and half the pleasure here is the setting itself, the slow walk up to St. Euphemia with paintings on either side.
