On 13–14 August 2026, Mercatino sets up around Rovinj's old town and promenade, gathering artists, artisans and small independent brands in one place. Think handmade jewellery, prints, ceramics and textiles, made by the people actually standing behind the tables.

This is the fair to hit if you want a souvenir that isn't the same magnet everyone else brought home. You're buying directly from the maker, so it's worth asking about their work while you browse.

Go in the evening. Mid-August days are hot, and a slow stroll-and-shop along the water as things cool down is the right pace for it. Bring a bit of cash alongside cards, and expect to wander.
