Rovinj's Old Town is a pedestrian zone — no cars past the harbour — and in July and August the lots near it fill by mid-morning. If you're driving in, the simplest fix is to book a hotel with its own parking. Here's which ones have it, and what to do if yours doesn't.
Why parking is the catch in Rovinj
The historic peninsula is car-free, and the streets around it are narrow, metered and busy all summer. Day visitors circle for spaces, and the closest closed lots — Velika Valdibora and Mala Valdibora, right by the market — fill fast. Staying somewhere with a reserved space saves you the daily hunt; our full parking in Rovinj guide has the zones, rates and a map.
Rovinj hotels with their own parking
These hotels include on-site or reserved parking (confirm the daily fee when you book — most charge for it separately):
- Grand Park Hotel Rovinj — 5★, waterfront, garage parking
- Hotel Lone — 5★, design hotel above Lone Bay
- Hotel Monte Mulini — 5★, spa hotel by the park
- Hotel Eden — 4★, on the edge of Punta Corrente park
- Family Hotel Amarin — 4★, family resort north of town
- Level 5 Rovinj — 4★, in the Borik area north of town, near Porton Biondi beach
- Boutique Hotel Lili — 4★, quiet residential streets

Staying in the Old Town without parking
Most heritage hotels inside the pedestrian zone — Angelo d'Oro, Villa Valdibora, Casa Garzotto — can't have parking on site, since cars don't reach them. Instead they run their own arrangement: a reserved private lot just outside the old town, usually with a shuttle. In practice, check-in often happens at the parking lot itself — you leave the car, hand over your bags, and someone runs you in to the hotel. Confirm the details when you book. If you'd rather just self-park, our parking guide has the public lots (Velika Valdibora is closest to the old town).
Campsites and resorts — parking included
If parking is the priority, Rovinj's campsites and resorts all have it as standard, right by your pitch or mobile home. They sit outside town, though, and Rovinj has no local buses — so you'll rely on the car, a bike, or a seasonal shuttle. The Amarin resort, for one, is linked to the centre by both a summer tourist train and its own boat across the bay. Camping Amarin, Veštar and Mon Perin are all an easy drive out.
